Gel foam overlays are generally not leaky. The gel beads are securely embedded within the foam and do not spill out. However, factors such as manufacturing defects, prolonged wear and tear, exposure to high humidity or temperature extremes, and direct water exposure can potentially cause leaks or degradation of the overlay over time.
